Welcome back, students!

As always, Counseling Club is here to support you as you progress through the program. There are several important announcements and friendly reminders that we would like to mention.
First and foremost, the decision about accreditation of our program will be announced next week. Stay tuned!
If you are graduating in Spring or Summer 2011, your exit exam (CPCE) is scheduled for February 19th. Mark your calendar! You will find more details in the Counseling Program Newsletter (hard copy available at the Department of Psychology and Counseling).
Remember to activate your library card so you can start using the ALADIN and the Consortium resources as you work on your home assignments and papers. You can activate it only in person, at the library (building 41, 5th floor). A librarian must see your student ID to activate your account.
As we were enjoying our break, the ACA published several new books that can be useful for our studies. If you are an ACA member, you get up to 40% off all books they publish. Visit ACA website for details.
There is still time to consider going to the ACA conference. It will take place in New Orleans, LA (March, 25-27). Member registration is $115 (includes all panels and workshops). See the conference program (40 pages, pdf).
There is good news for students with GPA 3.5 and better. The Club will start working on activating a Chi Sigma Iota chapter (Honor Society for counseling students), so we can have an induction ceremony this semester! Thus, students who become members this spring will graduate with honors.
We will continue to inform you about the events and updates in our program.
